Practice Consultant

Member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks Paul is a Founding Member of Derwent Chambers, having been a Barristers’ Clerk since 1998, and for 19 of those years a highly regarded Senior Clerk.

After leaving school, Paul worked in a Solicitors’ firm for two years. This has given him an invaluable insight into, and knowledge of, the level of service professional and lay clients expect from a set of Barristers’ Chambers. This insight informs all aspects of his approach to being the Practice Consultant at Derwent Chambers. Paul is highly committed to the profession of clerking and ensures that he keeps abreast of all new developments.

Paul puts great store by being available to instructing Professional Clients at all times and is proud to be the Practice Consultant to the first ever Set of Barristers’ Chambers in this busy legal community.

Paul has an extensive knowledge of the Court system, and is regularly consulted regarding his expertise in the area of fees.

He is well known for his highly efficient, but approachable style, and is always ready to help.
